MAKING OF MATERIAL

Concept paint overs were created for each sequence in the film to insure that the visual ideas were clearly communicated to the render and composite artists.
This allowed for at much smoother production flow with fewer approval rounds.
Most of these paint overs were done by Rasmus Joergensen, who is a fantastic concept artist.

In Invasion From Below our Hero Factory heroes are forced to fight back an alien invasion that threatens to destroy a huge Metropolis. This leads the team on a journey deep into the ancient caves below the city for a final stand off with the alien queen and her army.
With a very limited budget and time schedule we had to think out of the box to create a setup that would allow us to create 22 minutes of full CG animation without compromising the quality of the film. With a small and very dedicated in-house team all designs, assets and environments were created and scenes blocked out for final animation. From here everything was shipped off for final animation, rendering and compositing at GDC in China. Editing and grading was done at Ghost and sound design and music was provided by Epic Sound.
